Installation of the Retract-A-Light System is as easy as any low voltage system. There are only six basic steps, and you need only three simple tools (shovel, screw driver, wire cutters)

• Mount controller
• Dig a narrow trench 2” wide by a minimum of 3” deep. At each light location dig 12” deep.
• Lay wire, tubing and place lights at their desired location
• Connect lights to the wire, tubing and controller
• Plug in controller to test that wiring, tubing and lights are functioning properly
• Bury wire, tubing and lights
• Set timer

For installation on wood or composite decks, docks or stairs, follow the steps above and
in placing the lights in their desired location you will also:

• Drill 3” holes where you want the lights located in the deck
• Screw the deck flange to the top of the light fixtures
• Connect lights to the wire, tubing and controller
• Screw the deck flanges to the top surface of the deck, dock or stairs with three screws
• Follow the remaining steps
